Different Ways of Grouping

KioWare Server has three different, but related methods for grouping kiosks.  When using KioWare Server, There will always need to be at least one Site and one Project within a Site.

Sites

There is always at least one Site called the Default Site.  Sites can be thought of as companies, in that Site A has nothing to do with Site B.  Multiple Sites are normally only used if you wanted to host KioWare Server for other companies.  Sites can contain Projects and Groups.  They operate in two views:
Grouping, Site/Group Toggle

  • Site View: The default view.  Shows Projects within a Site.
  • Group View: Shows Groups within the Site.

For more information on Sites, see: Sites.

Projects

Many users of older KioWare Server versions will remember that projects were all they had to work with.  Projects are limited to containing only kiosks.

For more information on Projects, see: Projects.

Groups

Groups are the most flexible container.  They can contain Projects, kiosks and other Groups.

For more information on Groups, see: Groups.
