| What are addins? | They are special files (usually ending in .dll) containing programming code for additional features that are not built into KioWare. When running addins with KioWare, you can enhance KioWare's built-in features or add entirely new ones. |
| What kind of things can addins do? | They can do a variety of things, depending on how they are coded and what you need them to do. Here are just a few examples. For more details, contact KioWare Support (see above).
- Automatically run external programs when booting the kiosk or computer that runs KioWare
- Include new features when exiting KioWare
- Handle files in special ways while KioWare is running, such as loading them to a USB flash drive
- Automatically fill in text boxes in another program or web page
- Ensure that certain windows always close when KioWare runs
- Set up other custom actions and features
