Running KioWare OS

Loading KioWare OS on Device Boot

If the device is powered down while KioWare OS is running, then KioWare OS will start when the device boots.  The simplest way to do this is to create an additional passcode that shuts down the device (see the steps below).

1. Run the Configuration Tool (see Quick Start Guide, Configuration Tool).
2. On the Security tab, select “Exiting KioWare” and then select the plus icon for the “Additional Passcodes” setting.
3. In the Edit Passcode window, enter a new passcode (once to set it and again to confirm it), and then select “Shut Down” in the “Exit Action” dropdown.
4. Run KioWare OS browser (see Quick Start Guide, KioWare OS Browser) and enter that new passcode on the Exit window.
5. The device will power down, and when powered up again, KioWare OS will load.
